The Story

The biggest part of this year can be related by the journal entries I've recorded in my personal journal. So without further ado, and to give you the story of our trip of the 2001 season.......

  This weekend will really be fun. This is the C.P. weekend. The current roster for this trip? Dan, Brian, Tony, Conrad, Josh N, Ozzie and of course myself. With luck I’ll have tons of information for you. I plan on taking my journal (I’ll write entries in longhand) and my brand new digital camera I just bought. Most of which, obviously, I’ll post here.

  As promised, here is a journal entry while in Sandusky OH. This is odd for two reasons. First, that it’s longhand. Second, that I’m in Eastern Time again. Haven’t written in Eastern Time since Michigan of ’87 I believe, 14 years ago.

  We’ve had pretty much fun so far, getting on many rides yesterday. The group stayed together for pretty much the whole day, well at least till 5:30. After that, Brian, Tony, Josh and I wanted to go out. See, the rest of us wanted to go back to the hotel room and rest. We were so beat. I was going on ½ hour of sleep for almost 36 hours. So we split up. However Brian did not go with us. Josh, Tony and I went back to the room, joked around a bit, had some Mike's Hard Lemonade and Smirnoff Ice. That pretty much put me right to sleep. I laid down and didn’t wake up till this morning; never even hearing the other guys come in.

  Well, I didn’t get to another entry in CP like I wanted to, so I’ll have to finish that story here. The second day at CP was actually not at CP. For that day, we started to get the general thought to go go-karting. That seemed like a good idea, and soon enough we were all agreed upon it. First of all, we decided to get something to eat and go see a movie. So we all went to BW3’s for lunch. Josh and I got some blazin’ hot wings and couldn’t finish them so we kind of conned the others into having some as well. Josh’s solution was to make everyone eat one for Cedar Point. It was funny, Josh just fit right in with the Cedar Point crowd, I think Ozzie was still trying to figure out the group. After lunch we went to the movie. We all went to see ‘the Mummy Returns’ except for Ozzie who wanted to see 'a Knight’s Tale', and Dan who didn’t want to see any movie; he just kind of did his own thing while we were all enjoying some good movies. After that, we went to the go-kart place where we played for about five hours for only $23.00. The racing was fun, and as the five hours was ending we played a round of mini-golf. After that we started to decide where to go for dinner. The thought of BW3’s came back up. No one else had any better ideas, so that was what we did. We played those NTN trivia games they have at every location, which is pretty fun. Then during the night Tony and Brian made a bet on the trivia game, that whoever lost the next round of questions would have to buy a 6 piece of blazin’ wings and eat them all at one time. Well, Brian lost and soon he regretted making the bet. After that, the trip was pretty much over. We went to the Motel after that, watched a movie and fell asleep. In the morning we drove home.

Every year we make a card which describes our trip to Cedar Point to a minor degree. The year of 2001 was no different.
